About Bennett
"There was once a predicament of incomparable despair. A predicament that had all but swallowed an old adventurer. The scorching flames scalded his skin, the deafening thunder almost ruptured his eardrums, and the hollering winds threatened to rip his soul from him. At the end of his hellish journey, what awaited him was... a baby. The old adventurer thought he was the first living thing to pass through this arduous ordeal. But how could he explain that which lay before him? In that moment, it hit him, and he believed it to be true. "This baby must be... a child abandoned by the world itself." Though there were no mighty artifacts, jewelry, or gold, the old man's face did not seem disappointed in the slightest, for he regarded this baby, whose life hung by a mere thread, to be his treasure. "This child is what I was meant to find on this journey," he thought as he took the baby into his arms. Even if what he was about to do opposed the will of the world itself, he was unafraid."This man, with the child in tow, escaped from the Mare Jivari with his life hanging on by a thread. He was in dire straits, and thus was rushed to the nearest hospital. His only contacts were a couple from Mondstadt, old friends of his, who quickly rushed to the far away hospital to see their friend one last time. With the last of his strength, he informed them of what he'd found on this journey, his true final treasure, and asked them to keep it--to keep him--safe. The couple honored their comrade's wishes and adopted their baby he found without hesitation, naming him Bennett, after their departed friend. They kept it no secret from him growing that he was adopted, but still loved and raised him as if he were their own, unable to have children themselves.
Growing up, Bennett lived a life different from most. This wasn't because of how the couple raised him or anything of the sort. Unfortunately, Bennett had supernatural bad luck, misfortune following him at every turn, whether it being something small like a store running out of his favorite thing right before he gets there, or something big like getting caught and hurt in an accident. For some people, this might drive them to become embittered and jaded at the world.
But not Bennett. He only grew to appreciate the things he already had more and developed a true zeal for life: he never knew when the next day may be his last, so he wanted to live each day to the fullest and truly enjoy life. His passion and determination was truly unstoppable, and it was this nature of his that earned him a lot of appreciation and understanding from his fellow townspeople, in spite of the bad luck that seemed to haunt him.
Bennett attended school like any kid, and did quite well in his studies thanks to his enthusiasm and drive, but his bad luck frequently manifested there as well, with him getting sick, or losing his homework, and even getting hit by a vehicle on his way to school on one occasion. But still, he kept at it, with his teachers being generally sympathetic and understanding towards him, knowing he was trying his best. It was school that opened Bennett's eyes to his love of the world--and his desire to go out and see as much of it as he possibly could. There were so many wonders and mysteries out to see, so much to explore and find and experience. And he wanted to see and do all that for himself instead of just learning about it. And so without much hesitation one day, Bennett dropped out of school and informed his dads that he was going to become an adventurer and see everything the world had to offer. And maybe, along the way, he might find where he came from too.
At first, they were opposed to the idea. It was true that they were adventurers themselves way back in the day; they were part of a trio that traveled the country all over in search of fame and fortune, until the two of them decided to retire for more ordinary lives while their partner set off in search of greater, more distant horizons. But Bennett was resolute, determined in what he wanted to do, and they couldn't bring themselves to say no to their son, who has always tried so hard in spite of the curse he bears. They ultimately gave their blessing, only begging for him to stay safe and to always stay in touch.
And so, Benny's Adventure Time was born.

At first, Bennett's vlog series wasn't born out of any desire to become rich and famous, or anything of the sort. He'd started recording videos as a way of keeping track of what he was doing, sending the recordings back to his friends and family in Mondstadt so they could see all the amazing things he was doing through his eyes. This, to him, felt like the best way to honor the opportunities that he'd been given, sharing his passion for what he's doing with everyone he cares about.It was on one such occasion that one of his friends, impressed by Bennett's charisma and enthusiasm for what he does on camera, decided to try editing one of his videos and uploading it. It saw decent traffic and success, something Bennett remained completely unaware of until he returned to Mondstadt several weeks later and was made aware of it.
At first, he wasn't sure of how to take the news. He'd never considered the idea of trying to make travels go viral, or even trying to make anything out of them at all. This stuff about metrics and the algorithm, that was all way over his head. But his friends were insistent; they loved what he was doing, and they weren't alone. There weren't many subscribers, but the boy had already earned himself a small, loyal following, a number of which weren't even from Mondstadt. His friends even agreed to help him. One would help him prepare for his trips, another would edit his content for him, and a third helped with all the technical details of content creation. With this, Bennett had gained his own little adventure team.
It wasn't until shortly after that, that his channel started to really gain traction. He opted to record a live stream, telling his viewers he had no idea anyone would have liked his stuff, and how appreciative he was of them checking him out. He was earnest and emotionally open in his words, but it was what happened next that sealed his fate. While recording, he accidentally wandered his way into a Hilichurl encampment. Enraged, the monsters attacked, and the recording was suddenly cut short as Bennett had to fend for his life. Comments poured in of all sorts, some laughing at the boy's expense, while others were deeply concerned about him and hoped he was alright.
He returned about an hour later with an update, sporting several fresh new scars, clearly frazzled by the attack, but also clearly alive. It was unknown how he managed to escape a Hilichurl attack with his life. He received the scolding of his life from his dads for that one...
And so, from that point on, Benny's Adventure Time became well-known as a featuring its creator's journeys around the world--and the incidents that seemed to befall him at every turn. Luck truly does take all forms, doesn't it?

Bennett exhibits remarkable proficiency with the sword for someone of his age and experience. He has a self-taught style, developed from observing the Knights of Favonius' training routines and a good bit of improvisation on his part. Many who see him on the battlefield are often in awe of his talent for combat.
Bennett fights with the element of pyro, typically wreathing his sword in flames to deal damage, though he can also use to help and protect his friends.
Bennett's abilities are fueled by his passion. The strong the fire in his heart burns, the more potent his abilities can be. This, coupled with his tenacity, makes him a powerful force, often allowing him to get stronger the more danger he faces. This however can also be a double-edged sword, as the power he wields can also backfire on him if it's more than he can handle.

Bennett channels his passion for adventure and his desire to help his comrades into creating an inspiration field beneath his feet. This field does damage to foes upon creation with a big eruption of fire, and then either provides healing or a strength boost to his allies. Bennett can only create one inspiration field with one effect at a time.

When using his elemental powers, Bennett's fire attacks now leave a lingering burning damage over time effect that can be stacked with itself or other such effects.
